Create and work alongside Nicola in her studio for a week & visit a fine art bronze foundry.
Service Description
Nicola will meet with you online in advance of your week with her in the studio via Zoom. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions and she will discuss the week so you can plan and prepare in advance. All materials & tools will be supplied. As well as creating your own sculpture you'll get a 'hands on' opportunity to work on Nicola's sculptures following instruction. Nicola has a long association (+25 years) with Bronze Age Fine Art foundry which is a 20 minute walk away from the studio and will take you for a tour explaining the age-old process of "The Lost Wax Technique". Artists sculpting in the studio wishing to extend their week may do so if there is availability & those interested in casting their work in bronze will have a chance to discuss this with the foundry on the visit.
